Hey ya'll. I know I've been gone a while, just needing a break from things. You know that I've been struggling with my weight the past three months. Up Down, Up Down, it's been a roller coaster ride for me and not a fun one.
So, last Sunday I went off my birth control pills, which I've been on three months, and in that amount of time, I've lost 4.5 lbs. That was the only way to prove to myself that I was going to get anywhere off them or on them. So, my last weigh in I was 182lbs. This morning I was at 177.5lbs, which means I have lost 4.5lbs. I'm pretty happy with that number. Which means, it is proven that on BC I DO NOT LOSE WEIGHT.
Well, my blog break time was much needed in not worrying about what to write about, my life is not that exciting to have something everyday.
However, one thing I have been doing this month, beside observing National Type 1 Month for Type 1 diabetes awareness, so facebooking my thanks to God each day. Like on the 19th, I was thankful that God made people with different skills and talents especially those who can fix your heat when it goes out. Even though it might cost you a arm and a leg...oh and big toe too. He will provide.
It has been such a blessing to me to be able to think about my days and the blessing, even the small ones, that fill my life each day. Here are some example to prompt you to thinking of your blessings.
- Thankful for hot chocolate to warm my insides when we have no heat.
- Thankful for a dryer to warm blankets on cold windy nights.
- Thankful for friends that offer their homes for not only me, but my dog.
- Thankful that I have the skills and talents to make gifts for people.
- Thankful for my guys at work that help me when I need it.
- Thankful that Tony Stewart won the the 2011 NASCAR Championship on Sunday!!
- Thankful for my sons ability to clean the house
- Thankful for laughter
- Thankful for tears
- Thankful for jokes
- Thankful for song
- Thankful that the lights didn't turn red and I made it to work on time.
- Thankful for the parking space up close to the bldg and I didn't get as wet as I would have if I parked in the back of the lot
- Thankful for my blow dryer and my curling iron
- Thankful for dental floss
- Thankful for my 100 tubes of chapstick that are at my every beckon call.
- Thankful for my new dog Baby who loves me so much and loves to cuddle.
See, there are things in your life that really change your day. Choose today what to be thankful for. Choose to see your blessings and not see the obstacles in your life. Choose today what you see before you as a gift from God, because he will use EVERYTHING to bless you.
